Lewis Friedlander | MD
Dr. Lewis Friedlander is a plastic surgeon that specializes in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. He received his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia School of Medicine in 1982. He completed numerous residencies in general surgery at Bridgeport Hospital, Exempla St Joseph Hospital, Shands Jacksonville Medical Center, and Jackson Memorial Hospital. He also completed residencies in neurological and plastic surgery at Jackson Memorial Hospital and a residency in Opthamology at Emory University. In 2012, Dr. Friedlander was selected as the Physician of the Year by the American Board of Physician Specialists Academy of Surgery. He is also a member of The Ralph D. Millard Plastic Surgery Society and Educational Foundation. Dr. Friedlander has conducted research and has publications on innovative surgical techniques in eye and vision restoration, breast surgery, muscle surgery, and fat removal techniques. Additionally, he teaches medical students as the Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery and Plastic Surgery. He also has received letters of recommendation from Cherokee Surgical, Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, and Yale University.
